One third of people employed in Turkey to be women by 2015

According to Turkey’s Employment Organisation (ISKUR), one out of every three employees in Turkey will be a woman by the year 2015.

The new targets for ISKUR reveal a target of 35 percent of workforce positions in Turkey to be held by females by 2015 which was laid out in the organisations Strategic Plan 2011-2015.

New goals and projects to be implemented by ISKUR will see social awareness on gender equality increased and develop and encouragement of the participation of more women in to the work force in Turkey.

The Strategic Plan also laid down goals to encourage employment in the private sector by an average of 25 percent each year. Employment fairs will be set up and 150,000 people who have been unemployed for more than six months will be able to contact and get help from ISKUR in their search for jobs.

Another aim of the Strategic Plan will see an increase of training programs that guarantee a job afterwards by 40 percent by the year 2015; this will make the labour force in Turkey more efficient and more qualified than ever before.

Jobs in Turkey are on the rise, more and more jobs are becoming available in Turkey and unemployment in Turkey is going down rapidly. While nations such as Italy and Spain are finding employment opportunities more and scarcer, Turkey is always expanding and growing and jobs in Turkey are opening every day.
